Terms of Service

BrakeJamesATL · Last updated: July 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BrakeJamesATL’s website and mobile brake repair services in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. By booking a service or submitting the contact form on this site, you agree to these Terms.

1. What We Do

BrakeJamesATL provides mobile brake repair at your location — driveway, parking lot, or wherever your vehicle is parked. We serve Fulton County and DeKalb County. Every job starts with a free, no-obligation brake inspection.

2. What We Do Not Do

BrakeJamesATL is a brake specialist, not a general mechanic. We do not offer:

If your vehicle needs work outside this scope, we’ll tell you honestly and, where we can, point you to someone who handles it.

3. Quotes and Approval

We do not quote a price before inspecting your vehicle. After the free inspection, we’ll give you a quote with labor and parts listed as separate line items. No work begins until you approve that quote. Our labor rate is $100/hr and is not negotiated — if you want a smaller scope of work, we’ll requote for that smaller scope.

4. Payment

Full payment is due on-site when the job is complete, before we leave. We accept Square, Cash App, Zelle, and cash. We do not accept personal checks. If a job requires a special-order part, we may require a deposit before ordering it.

You’ll receive an itemized Square invoice showing labor and parts as separate amounts.

5. Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. If a brake issue traces back to our work within that window, we’ll come back and fix it — no labor charge. This guarantee covers labor only, applies to work we performed, and does not cover new problems unrelated to the original job, damage from accidents, or normal wear on components we didn’t service.

6. Parts

Parts are sourced from the best available supplier for your vehicle’s make and model and billed at cost, itemized on your invoice. Parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty. If a part we installed fails, contact us and we’ll work it out with you directly.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Plans change — just let us know as soon as you can if you need to reschedule or cancel an inspection or job. There is no fee to reschedule. Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect future scheduling priority.

8. SMS Communications

If you opt in on our booking form, you may receive text messages about appointments, quotes, and job updates. SMS opt-in is optional and is never required to book service, receive a quote, or use any part of our service. See our Privacy Policy for full details, including how to opt out.

9. Limitation of Liability

We perform brake work carefully and stand behind it under the guarantee above. Beyond that guarantee, BrakeJamesATL is not liable for pre-existing vehicle conditions unrelated to the service performed, for damages arising from a customer’s failure to disclose relevant vehicle history, or for indirect losses (such as missed work or towing costs) not directly caused by our workmanship.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the business grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
